Networking
12 February 2010
Every business needs to network. Every year on average 15% of customers will leave a business they've been dealing with. Some because of poor service, others price, some will move, others will move on. This number changes depending on your industry, however on average it's 15%. You can reduce that down to 5%, however the fact is you can't please everyone all the time, and so as a business we need to be networking to find new customers.
Social Media is changing how businesses network with each other. If you can take the best of what has worked in the past and embrace the new ways technology allows us to get your name out there, you will certainly do well in finding new customers.
Get your name out there by leaving great comments and write great blogs so people know who you are and what area you are an expert in. If you see people in industries or companies you want to get to know, introduce yourself, they don't know who you are until you do, and business never favoured the shy.
RepHub can help you network by providing the platform for you to leave comments in places New Zealand businesses will see. Start your own blog which will make people stand up and take notice of you and your business. Search for businesses and members with the Members Search Engine and introduce yourself to others with RepHub's Messaging service.
